Our 2020-2025 Strategic Plan serves as a roadmap for our school’s continued growth and development. A strategic plan is a vital tool that helps guide decision-making, ensuring that our educational approach, resources, and community initiatives align with our long-term vision and values.
Creation of our Strategic Plan
The Elonera Board are responsible for the development and implementation of the plan. This process involves extensive consultation, including input from educators, parents, and students, to ensure that our strategic direction reflects the needs and aspirations of our community. Regular review and assessment help us stay accountable, responsive, and forward-thinking.
Our Strategic Plan 2020–2025 reaffirms our commitment to academic excellence, student well-being, and a dynamic learning environment that empowers students to thrive in an ever-changing world.

1. Our student experience will be best-practice Montessori Education
We are committed to nurturing student well-being and fostering a love for learning through the highest Montessori standards. By ensuring a holistic education, enhancing co-curricular opportunities, and providing strong learning support, we create an inclusive environment where all students can thrive. Our programs will prioritise student well-being, literacy and numeracy development, and engagement with external learning institutions, ensuring that each student benefits from a comprehensive and enriching educational experience.

2. We value our staff
Our staff are the foundation of our school community, and we are dedicated to their professional growth and well-being. Through ongoing Montessori training, professional development, and mentorship programs, we empower educators to provide exceptional learning experiences. Additionally, we will prioritize staff well-being by improving support structures, providing clear communication about employment conditions, and ensuring adequate time for planning and collaboration.

3. We will be proud of our facilities and resources
A well-designed, sustainable, and inspiring environment is key to a quality education. We will maintain and enhance our facilities to reflect the aesthetic and functional needs of a Montessori education. This includes improving IT systems, expanding our IB facilities, ensuring fully-equipped classrooms, and fostering environmental sustainability. Additionally, we will honour the Indigenous custodians of our land, integrating respect for their heritage into our site development and educational programs.

4. We value our families and community
A strong and engaged school community is vital for student success. We aim to strengthen parent education programs, increase community involvement, and activate our alumni network. By fostering meaningful connections between students, parents, and educators, we create a supportive and inclusive school environment that extends beyond the classroom.

5. We will continuously improve our governance and financial sustainability
Effective governance and financial planning ensure our school's long-term success. We will recruit experienced Board Directors, implement best-practice budgeting and financial controls, and enhance sustainability strategies to secure our school's future. By maintaining transparent decision-making and a clear focus on long-term planning, we will continue to offer high-quality Montessori education for generations to come.

6. We will communicate effectively and build relationships
Clear, transparent, and timely communication strengthens trust and engagement within our school community. We will improve communication channels between staff, students, and families, streamline administrative processes through digital systems, and develop a marketing strategy to promote the benefits of Montessori education. By fostering open dialogue and proactive outreach, we aim to build stronger relationships within and beyond our school.
